Pray and Get Out of God’s Way
I needed $300 to balance my monthly budget. Thinking about how to best meet my need I drove to see a friend. On my return home, a truck hit my car and totaled it. The next day a friend drove me to work and that evening he returned me and my office boxes home—I was fired from my job. Once my landlord discovered that I was let go at work, she feared my ability to pay and asked me to move out.
I called a friend to collect the $500 I had previously loaned him but was met with a sad voice on the other end of the line. His mother had just passed away and he was preparing for her homecoming. I couldn’t ask him for the money now; instead, I phoned Joan, a prayer counselor.
Reluctantly I confessed my dilemma to her, lovingly she responded, “Pray and get out of God’s way.” She guided me to take action for effective scriptural prayer that changed my immediate situation as well as my life.
Reflection: Faith is built by using scriptural prayer. In spite of the circumstances, don’t give up; Pray and get out of God’s way. The universe will release the angels to give you everything you need to handle the situation.
